| Import Result Data with MRO Management
One of the most
time-consuming aspects of substance abuse testing management is
entering data. In many cases it is possible to electronically
import result data rather than manually enter it into DrugPak!
MRO Management serves as a result data import engine as well as a
holding area for results that require review. Importing result
data is one of the various tools DrugPak offers for making your result
processing more efficient and effective.
The idea of MRO
Management starts with your result data. Results that are
reported from a laboratory can often be delivered in a data file as
well as, or instead of, by fax. Scanlon Associates has an
extensive library of translation formats including all major
laboratories, many national MRO practices, and various testing
devices--over 40 translation scripts in all. If we don't already have
exactly what you need, custom translations can be created for new
trading partners as well!
Once data has been delivered to your
computer, MRO Management reads the information, arranges everything in
the correct DrugPak data format, and validates the information.
Customizable automation levels allow you to define warnings for
missing and mis-matched information so that you can decide what results
can automatically report through DrugPak and which results need to be
held for review.
MRO Management provides an easy interface for
reviewing problem and non-negative results. This includes
an in-depth MRO Result Worksheet and access to Document Manager images.
Issues of concern for each result are clearly identified and
final processing is not permitted until all issues have been addressed.
MRO Management represents the keystone of automation in
DrugPak, dramatically reducing processing time per result as well as
data entry mistakes. With the ability to import data from a
variety of sources and detailed control over processing options, any
DrugPak user who considers result data entry a significant burden can
reduce time and increase accuracy by electronically importing result
data. Consider reducing the weight of your burden through
automation with MRO Management. Visit DrugPak.com to learn more |

MRO Management Custom Exceptions
One
of the new features of DrugPak Version 6 is a powerful tool in MRO
Management. Custom Exceptions, found in MRO Management in the
Tools menu, makes it possible for you to define your own exception
conditions that will require action before a result can be processed
through to DrugPak.
There are many examples of where this tool can be useful.
- A
client with specific demands requires you to make a small change to
results, but the situation only comes up every few months and the
result slips by without your noticing. A custom exception can be
used to point out the condition and even remind you of the necessary
steps.
- A mistake that is consistently made at the collection site or laboratory can be brought to your attention.
- Extra data entry is necessary
in DrugPak (on a participant or company record) before an otherwise
complete result would be processed.
Another
way to think of custom exceptions is to consider it an automation for
anything that someone in your office has to remember to always do or
double-check or correct. "This client never does reasonable
suspicion, but the collectors keep marking the results that way", "We
always have to make sure that the participant has a driver license
number before we release a pre-employment", "We have to use a special
disposition code for this one client". Every special, odd,
hard-to-remember condition that can be described in a filter can be
saved as a custom exception.
For more information about DrugPak filters check out the Version 6 Training Video
web page. Also, look for the August Webinars announcement further

Advisory Committee Update
Response to our invitation to join the DrugPak advisory group has
been overwhelming! Due to the large number of responses we are in
the process of conducting further interviews and working to establish
the structure for this group.
We are very excited about the energy that DrugPak users are
bringing to this project, not only in their ideas for development of
DrugPak, but also in the ideas about how the advisory group will
work. If you have applied to be part of this group and have not
yet heard back from us we ask for your continued patience. | |
