Give
Your Clients On-Line Access with DP Live
The DP Live module of DrugPak makes it possible for your clients to
access information on their substance abuse testing programs on their own
schedule. Your clients use a password-protected login that gives them access to
the company/participants/results that you assign to them.
Visitors can
view new results and print their own result letters. They can also search for
results and create their own result list reports. They can view their list of
participants, add new participants and terminate participants from their current
list. You can give them access to view your list of collection sites and even
map the addresses.
Real-Time
Reporting DP Live provides access to your DrugPak data immediately!
As soon as a result has been saved in DrugPak it is available for a DP Live
visitor to view. As soon as you perform a random selection the selected
participants are available on the web site.
Customizable Access You can specify the
rights and restrictions that your DP Live visitors have, either in general or
for any specific visitor. You can allow your visitors to update participant
information (such as name or occupation) or arrange it so that they can see the
information but cannot change it. You can also specify certain items to be
invisible. Result data is always safe
from modification. There are no options that a visitor can use to change
anything about a result.
Secure
Server A standard part of setting up DP Live is configuring the web
server to provide secure access (HTTPS). This ensures that your DrugPak data is
viewed only by visitors who have logged in with correct user names and
passwords.
Document Manager and DP
Billing If you use the Document Manager module of DrugPak then DP Live
can provide visitors with access to chain of custody documents or any other type
of document you want to allow them to see. When used with DP Billing a DP Live
visitor can view their invoice history.

Keyboard Shortcuts Save Time
Many
DrugPak users overlook one of the best time-saving computer techniques;
keyboard shortcuts. There are two main types of keyboard
shortcuts; using menus and direct commands.
To use your keyboard to navigate menus (in DrugPak and in most Windows applications) start by pressing and releasing
the ALT key (at the bottom of your keyboard). If you look at the
menus in DrugPak after pressing the ALT key you will see that a letter
in each of the menu titles is underlined. That letter indicates
the letter on the keyboard that you should press to open that
menu. For example, in your DrugPak, press the ALT key, and let it
go, then press the R key and DrugPak's Reports menu will open.
Notice that each item in the menu has a similar underlined letter,
again indicating the letter on your keyboard that will open that
selection. Press R again and the Results sub-menu of the Reports
menu will open. Press the R key once again and you will have
selected the Result Letter report. (Note that some windows in
DrugPak have buttons where a letter is underlined. To "click"
these buttons with keyboard commands, hold down the ALT key while pressing the indicated letter.)
The
other keyboard shortcut method, what I am calling a "direct command",
requires that you press two or more keys at the same time. For
example, pressing and holding CTRL, and then pressing the 1 key (at the
top of your keyboard, not the number pad section) will open the result
window. CTRL and 2 will open the participants window. You
can see references to these keyboard commands as you look at the menus
at the top of DrugPak. If you use your mouse to open the File
menu (top right of DrugPak) you will see several items show "CTRL+" to
the right. Some of these items require that you hold both CTRL
and ALT before pressing a third key.
And
a third part about keyboard shortcuts should be pointed out with
specific keyboard commands for DrugPak. These three items work in
most windows of DrugPak;
- CTRL+Insert : Insert new record. (The same as clicking on the plus in the navigation bar.)
- CTRL+Enter : Post (save) record. (The same as clicking on the check button to save a record.)
- F2
: On many fields this will open the associated Find window. (If
your cursor is in the Home Base field of a participant record, pressing
F2 will open the Home Base find window.)
And we should also point out some of the most common Windows keyboard shortcuts that we find helpful;
- CTRL+TAB : Switch from one open window to the next within an application. (SHIFT+CTRL+TAB reverses the order.)
- ALT+TAB : Switch from one application to the next. (SHIFT+ALT+TAB reverses the order)
- CTRL+F4 : Close current window (a window within a program)
- ALT+F4 : Close current Windows application.
- CTRL+X : Cut
- CTRL+C : Copy
- CTRL+V : Paste
- CTRL+Z : Undo
- F1 : Help
One
of the main goals of DrugPak software design and support is to help you
work effeciently and effectively. If you have questions about
DrugPak keyboard shortcuts or any other topic about DrugPak, please
contact the DrugPak Support Desk.
